Daily Snap: What’s worth it to you?

February 9, 2017 by DanicasDaily 3 Comments

Happy Friday Eve! Today I was up super early to pack then head out of town for 2 days of meetings. I have to say I’m really digging the Jimmy Dean Egg White Omelets for mornings like today.

Lunch was the usual meeting sandwiches, chips and fruit. I’m proud I stopped when full and only ate half my bag of chips giving away the rest to make the temptation go with it.

Do you ever wish you checked out the points BEFORE you are something? Yep, that was me thinking surely those little midgee Tootsie Rolls aren’t that many points. Yep, 1 point each – sad.  I also wish my hand never made it near the open bag of cookies because that was not worth 7 points either.

Instead of letting this momentary lapse in judgement derail my day, I balanced it out when we headed to dinner at the Daily Grill. Oh how I wanted burgers, pot pie, pasta….But, I went with the smart choice of grilled Tilapia (lemon sauce on the side) and doubled up my veggies. It tasted healthy but I’m OK with that as I feel like I made better choices at dinner when I could caved into temptation.

Daily Snap Recap:

B: Jimmy Dean Farmers Egg White Omelet (6 sp), 1/2 banana with a sprinkle of blueberries

S: Tall Nonfat Cappuccino with caramel on top (2 SP)

L: 2/3 Rosemary Ham, Cheese & Roasted tomato sandwich (7 SP), 1/2 small bag Dirty BBQ chips (5 SP), clementine

S: 3 Tootsie roll midget s (3 SP), 3 Famous Amos Mini Chocolate Chip Cookies (7 SP) – the not worth it snack!

D: @The Daily Grill – 1/4 BBQ chicken bite sandwich (2 SP), 6 oz blackened tilapia with double veggies (asparagus, mushrooms, zucchini, onion) and no carb (4 SP)

DS: 1/4 key lime pie (6 sp) – yep that really is 4 bites worth lol..Pretty worth it as it’s my favorite dessert.

41 SmartPoints

My goal for tomorrow’s meetings – stay within my daily points with lots of water.

What is one food that is “worth it” to you to spend your points on?

Night all!

I agree with the wine. It’s the only calories I drink.
Danica you’ve done great. A 41 point day won’t kill your week.
